Competency Development

Talent Springs facilitated the development of leadership and technical competencies for a division of a larger organization.  The goal of the project was to ensure that role expectations were clear and were aligned to the strategic plan of the organization. 

Elements of the project included: 
  • Consulting with division leaders to assess the current state and design the development process

  • Facilitating a Leadership task force to identify the career development philosophy and framework for competency development

  • Facilitating job analysis of multiple jobs and developing job families in collaboration with a team of subject matter experts

  • Developing leadership and technical competencies for each job family

  • Developing a performance management philosophy

  • Developing career paths for each job family 
Project Outcomes
  1. Increased employees understanding of job responsibilities

  2. Educated employees about the criteria for effective performance

  3. Increased understanding of the non-technical skills required to effectively perform in various roles

  4. Streamlined job descriptions and compensation ranges

  5. Communicated competencies required to achieve corporate objectives

  6. Increased leaders’ ability to manage performance
