Team Alignment & Performance

A Vice-President is new to a healthcare organization and must accelerate the performance of a team to meet new standards.  The purpose of the intervention is to assess the current functioning of the team and to educate the team on new practices within their functional areas.  Following interviews with team members a series of 2-hour Think-Tank sessions was developed to provide the group with opportunity to think through plans and learn about best practices in their respective fields.

  1. Team membersí reported a better understanding of the Vice-Presidents expectations for their roles

  2. Development of standard templates for frequently used communication documents

  3. Increase understanding of customers; needs based on training outcomes that included shadowing and targeted questioning techniques

  4. Increased synergy between team members through more inclusive and proactive communication processes

  5. Development and implementation of annual plan
